As Ambassador Mohamed Kazem concludes his diplomatic mission in Argentina, he was honored in two significant farewell events. The Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) hosted a farewell toast at its Recoleta headquarters on Tuesday, June 27th, with its president, Dr. Francisco de Santibañes, leading the gathering. On the following day, the Argentine Arab Chamber of Commerce (CCAA), under the leadership of its president, Engineer Julio Made, organized a special dinner in his honor. These gatherings were attended by distinguished figures, including the president of the Syrian Lebanese Club of Buenos Aires, Mr. Yaoudat Brahim, and Egypt’s Minister Counselor, Karim Aboulaenein.
During these heartfelt occasions, warm messages of goodwill were exchanged, wishing Ambassador Kazem continued success. The Ambassador graciously expressed his gratitude and presented traditional Egyptian art to the hosts. Notably, entrepreneur Jorge Ameal, president of Boca Juniors Football Club, attended the CCAA dinner and gifted the Ambassador an official club jersey, while also making a special request for Mohamed Salah’s presence on a future visit. Ambassador Kazem responded with enthusiasm, promising to make efforts toward fulfilling the request. These events, alongside other recent tributes, exemplify the strong bond and mutual respect that have flourished between Argentina and Egypt during Ambassador Kazem’s tenure.
